Chicago Bears vs New York Jets Odds, Pick and Predictions
Our second pick for last week turned out to be a beauty as the Chicago Bears marched into San Francisco's brand new Levi's Stadium in Silicon Valley and stole one from the home team. A ten point deficit at halftime and a 13 point deficit heading into the fourth quarter had us looking more a minor miracle from Jay Cutler and the Bears offense, and that is pretty much what we got. The Bears scored 21 fourth quarter points on the heels of some great plays from Brandon Marshall to stun the 49ers faithful as both teams evened their records at 1-1. The Bears were not about to be denied two wins to start their season and the 49ers, despite popular belief, did not look sharp in their week one win in Dallas, and they definitely let one slip away this past Sunday night.

This is the third week in a row that I like the Chicago Bears, and after their huge win this past Sunday against the 49ers, I somewhat forgive them for their heartbreaking week 1 loss to the Bills. In fact, I am very surprised the Bears are underdogs in this contest against the Jets.
Winning two consecutive weeks on the road in the NFL is a large task, however Chicago is coming off a brilliant 4th quarter performance on offense against San Fran, while the Jets disappeared when push came to shove in the second half of their tilt against the Packers on Sunday.
My Pick - BEARS +2.5 (+105) @5dimes
Behind Geno Smith, the Jets offense isn't horrible, however their defence, more specifically their secondary, got lit up by Aaron Rogers to the tune of 346 yards and 3 TD's. Don't think for a second that Jay Cutler, Brandon Marshall, and Matt Forte can't do that to you as well. Marshall caught three touchdown's from his star Quarterback last week and two of those came in the fourth quarter. Cutler threw more touchdowns in the fourth quarter last week than Geno Smith has thrown in eight quarters to start the season.
The Jets do bring a superb run defence to the table, so it is helpful that the Bears do most of their damage through the air. I like the Bears to win this game outright, however since we are getting 2.5 points at a good price we might as well take the points for good measure.
