CB Series 1st Final - Australia vs SriLanka Pick, Prediction, and Odds
The long awaited day of Commonwealth Bank series final has arrived and Australia and Sri Lanka will face each other at Brisbane on March 4 at 03:20am GMT. This is the first final of this series and both teams are looking good to win it. Sri Lanka, after winning the last league match against Australia once again showed that they want to play good cricket and more importantly they want to win. On the other hand, Australia, who has the Home advantage would look to win the match and show the world the reason they are still World's number One. A win for either team would keep the team just a single step away from winning the CB Series.

Talking of the current form of both the teams, Australia and Sri Lanka both have 19 points each with both teams winning four matches each. Sri Lanka, after losing to India in just under 37 overs was able to beat Australia which was a virtual semi-final for them. Australia though has an advantage of home support in finals and there are some positives for Australia from the last game against Sri Lanka as well. One of which is Harris' replacement Pattinson and Dan Christian performed really well in the bowling department and Watson and Hussey in batting department scored some runs and looks like they are peaking at the right time. Some of the Sri Lankan players got injured and it looks like Thisara Perera would not play as Kapugedera is in as a replacement. Both the teams look good on paper and it looks like it would be a close game and definitely worth watching.

Can Sri Lanka beat Australia beat in this much anticipated first final of CB series despite their injury issues? It seems to be unlikely scenario because of home support Australia would get and most of their major players in good form. Sri Lanka has injury issues and it is likely that replacement would disturb the team balance and eventually team would lose the winning momentum. I think Australia would win the game but it will be a close encounter between the two.
» Man of the Match Prediction
There are many match winners in both the sides but the player who would do exceptionally well in this final will be Australian all-rounder Shane Watson. He is a utility cricketer who has the potential to perform in both bowling and batting department and he is in great touch too.
