Charlotte Bobcats vs. Oklahoma City Thunder Odds, Prediction, and Pick
The 2012-2013 NBA season has gotten off to an interesting start so far, and one of the parts of the interesting season has been the fact that the Charlotte Bobcats, who won 7 games last year, are off to a 6-4 start. The quick turn around was definitely unexpected, but with the change to the head coaching situation and the entire mindset behind their offense and defense, it's something that fans are really starting to like. They are going to have probably their biggest test of the season though on Monday, November 26th when they head on the road to play one of the favorites out of the Western Conference in the Oklahoma City Thunder. While the Bobcats are 6-4, the Thunder have started even hotter at 9-3 currently.

The Bobcats have been led by second year point guard Kemba Walker, rookie in Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, as well as just a strong core of players who are focused on turning this team around such as Ramon Sessions and Ben Gordon. The intrigue in Charlotte is high right now, and if they keep running their offense well, and focus in on shutting down opposing offenses, the rebuilding phase for the Bobcats could end quicker than we thought.
For the Thunder though, they are still figuring out life after James Harden, when that trade completely shocked pretty much the entire NBA. Harden moved on to the Houston Rockets, but the Thunder got back a strong player in Kevin Martin, as well as multiple other pieces as well. The Thunder still appear to be incredibly strong and should be a favorite to compete in the West though.

I'd love to say that the turn around for the Bobcats is going to push them to a huge win on the road against the Oklahoma City Thunder, but playing in Oklahoma City is incredibly tough. I'd probably say that this is the toughest place to play in the NBA, and also that the Thunder have won three straight as well. I do think that Charlotte is going to keep this game close for a bit and probably keep the Thunder fans on the edge of their seats, but at the end of this early season match-up I'm going with Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook to get the job done by eight.
Prediction: Oklahoma City Thunder- 102 Charlotte Bobcats- 94
Pick: Oklahoma City Thunder
