Chicago Bears vs Detroit Lions, Odds, Prediction, and Pick
The Monday Night Football match-up for week 5 of the 2011 NFL season features two teams from the NFC North. The 2-2 Chicago Bears will head to Detroit to take on the Lions, who are sitting at 4-0 and have looked like one of the stronger teams in the NFL to this point. The Lions have been one of the ultimate turn around teams, and are only two wins away from matching their win total from last season. The Bears on the other hand won the NFC North last year, but are sitting at 2-2 this year and are looking up to the undefeated Packers and Lions. This game could potentially be one of the best Monday Night Football match-ups of the season, and will draw quite a bit of attention from both NFL fans and sports betting fans alike. The Lions have been led by their three headed monster of Matt Stafford, Calvin Johnson, and Jahvid Best; while the Bears on the other hand have relied heavily on running back Matt Forte to fuel their offense. Will the Bears be able to pull off the road upset in week 5? We'll take a look at the NFL sports betting line for the Bears vs. Lions, and also give a prediction and pick on who we think will not only win, but also cover this match-up.

The Lions have been impressive, and the Bears have quite a few questions marks still. While this divisional match-up would have a lot of hype surrounding it on a random 1:00 game on a Sunday; the hype that will be around it leading up to game time for a Monday Night game will be unbelievable. The biggest match-up of this game will be between the Lions strong defensive line, and the Bears below average offensive line. The Bears o-line has struggled to protect quarterback Jay Cutler all year, and I don't think this game will be any different. I expect the Lions defensive line to dominate the Bears, and pull out a big time week 5 win and send them to 5-0. I like the Lions to take this one down by at least a touchdown.

The point spread on this game actually started out with the Lions being favored by -6, and has moved to -5 recently. I like the Lions offense to make a big impact on this game, even though the Bears have one of the best defenses in the NFL. This game will be close throughout the first half, and for most of the third quarter; but I see the Lions pulling away in the end. I'm betting on the Detroit Lions -5 and they'll be my Monday Night Football pick.
Pick: Detroit Lions -5
