Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions Preview, Prediction and Pick
Big, big NFL games we have on the schedule for week 17, and one of them is the game between the Chicago Bears and the Detroit Lions. These two teams are major NFC North rivals, and the Bears are in a must win situation to have any shot at the playoffs. While the Bears need a little bit of help from the Green Bay Packers to knock off the Minnesota Vikings in order to get in, they need to focus on winning this game first. It's crazy that the Bears are now asking a favor of their biggest rivals in the Packers, but they'll simply be focused on beating the Lions first. Kickoff is set for 1:00pm EST and the game will be played in Detroit.

The Bears defense has suffered some tough injuries this season, and they are simply trying to keep it together right now in order to get this win and get into the postseason. This game is really going to be on Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall I think. These two have had a great connection this year, and they are going to need to put some points on the board in order to keep up with Matthew Stafford and the new record holder Calvin Johnson. Johnson recently broke Jerry Rice's receiving yard record, and he'll just build on that this Sunday in Detroit.

The Lions are definitely one of the teams who have disappointed many this season with a 4-11 record. The Lions made the playoffs last season, and this one has just been tough loss after tough loss it seems. Detroit has the talent, but their secondary has been a let down at times, and the offense has made some brutal turnovers at tough times as well. Expect the Lions to come out looking to knock off the Bears and keep them out of the postseason.

Interesting game here, as you'd think that a 9-6 team playing a 4-11 team would be favored by more than -3. The issue is that the Lions have lost close games and are probably the best 4-11 team that I've seen in a while. With that being said though, the Bears HAVE to win this game, and I think they'll be able to do it on the back of a huge game from Brandon Marshall. Expect a close one, but the Bears to win by a touchdown.
Pick: Chicago Bears -3
