Cincinnati Bengals vs Jacksonville Jaguars, Odds, Prediction, and Pick
In the week 5 NFL match-up's, we have a very interesting match-up between two teams who were predicted to finish at the bottom of the barrel at the beginning of the 2011 NFL season. Well, the story has been about spot on for the Jacksonville Jaguars who are sitting at 1-3 and have lost three games in a row. The Bengals on the other hand have looked solid at times, and are not only 2-2 currently, but also have lost their two games by a combined seven total points. Both of these two teams will head into this game with rookie quarterbacks, but that doesn't mean that they are both in the same boat. Dalton has looked poised, and while he has made mistakes; he has continually put his team in spots to win games. Gabbert is still in the midst of a major learning curve it seems, as his 16 for 42 performance last week explains.

The real interest in this game will come between the running games of both teams. The Bengals have Cedric Benson and Bernard Scott, while the Jaguars come in with one of the biggest names in football in Maurice Jones-Drew. It'll be interesting to see how these two defenses will be able to slow down Benson and Jones-Drew. While there will be some overall interest in this game, it will be an excellent NFL betting option as well this well, and we'll take a look at the sports betting line as well as give you a prediction and pick on which team will win and cover in this one. The Bengals vs. Jaguars game will kick off at 1:00pm EST on Sunday afternoon.

It is interesting that the Jaguars are favored in this one, especially after looking at how solid the Bengals have been. Cincinnati is coming off of a very nice win against a 3-0 Buffalo Bills team, while the Jaguars are coming off of another loss against the New Orleans Saints this time, 23-10. Both defenses have had their own issues, but I see Dalton as remaining much more poised than Gabbert will. The Bengals also have an excellent receiving option in rookie wide out AJ Green, and I think he'll have a big afternoon as well. I like the Bengals to win this one by at least a field goal.

The line on this one is close, and it is almost at the point where it's nearly a pick. But I like the Bengals here and I think their defense will be strong against this below average Jaguars defense as well. Look for the game to be close through the first half, but for the Bengals to take control in the second half and pull it out. I'm picking the Cincinnati Bengals to not only cover, but I'm also betting on them to win the game outright with the odds.
