Going by their current form, it looks like both the teams are peaking at the right time, when it really matters the most. Both the teams won both of their must win matches and now they need to win quarterfinal too but only one team can do that. Portugal was looking a bit shaky from the beginning of the tournament. Firstly, they lost against table toppers Germany and then struggles to win against Denmark despite taking 2-0 lead. Their skipper and key player Christiano Ronaldo didn't score in any of the first two matches and was considered biggest flop of tournament. He too bounced back in the third game against Netherlands as he scored two goals and missed hat trick narrowly. Due to his performance, Portugal, in their third game played well and knocked Holland out. Czech Republic was looking down and out after their massive defeat (4-1) against Russia. They too bounced back to beat Greece (2-1) and then knocked hosts Poland out of the tournament with a narrow win (1-0) against them. Both the teams are looking good to win this quarterfinal. It would be a treat to watch game for fans as it can well turn out to be a goal scoring feast.

Both the teams are playing well and have emerged victorious in their last two league games. Can world's 28th ranked Czech Republic prevail against Portugal who is currently placed at number 10? It is possible but improbable. Portugal has some good players and they've found a team combination which has started to get going in this tournament. Czech too is going well but Portugal seems to be a slightly better side on paper which tempts me to choose them as favorites for this game.

Portugal and Czech Republic have good teams and a real close contest is expected. Overall, Portugal looks a better side on paper and according to their last game, Portugal is more likely than Czech Republic to win this quarterfinal and advance to next stage.
