Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles Odds, Prediction, and Pick

There is nothing better than a huge divisional rivalry on Sunday Night Football to top off a full Sunday of games. This week, we have the Dallas Cowboys and Tony Romo traveling to Philadelphia to play the Michael Vick led Eagles. The Eagles have been one of the more disappointing teams to this point in the season as they sit at 2-4 and at the bottom of the NFC East currently. The Cowboys on the other hand are 3-3, and have shown signs of brilliance, and signs of major downside. Both teams enter this game having won their last game, with Dallas beating St. Louis last week, and the Eagles beating the Redskins before their bye week. This all adds up to one of the biggest rivalries in football on prime time television. The winner of this match-up will be feeling much better about their chances of making a playoff push, while the loser will need to regroup and get it back together before it gets too late in the season.

All eyes will be on the offenses of these two teams, as they both have many big names and play makers. The Cowboys will look to players like Romo, Dez Bryant, Miles Austin, and rookie running back DeMarco Murray; while the Eagles will look for Vick, Lesean McCoy, DeSean Jackson, and Jeremy Maclin to make big impacts. This game kicks off at 8:25pm EST on Sunday night, and will have the eyes of both NFL fans and sports bettors alike fixed on it.

There are two things that stand out to me about these two teams. One is about how the played leading up to this past win, and the other is how their offenses are being ran by their head coach/offensive coordinators. The Cowboys seem to have found a strong option in the run game with rookie DeMarco Murray, and if they keep running him like they did last week it will open up the passing game for Tony Romo. On the other hand, the Eagles seem way too pushy about forcing the action on quarterback Michael Vick, especially with a strong running back like Lesean McCoy. I definitely think this is one of the biggest reasons why the Eagles have struggled so much this season. The Boys' also looked very strong against the Patriots in a game that many people feel they should have won. I just like how the Cowboys are playing right now, and I think that they are more than a good enough team (especially with a solid running game) to beat the Eagles on the road. I'm taking the Cowboys to win by a field goal.

I like the upset here, and with that being said; I'll be betting on not only the Cowboys to cover the +3.5, but also to win the game outright on the money line. This will pay out some very good odds as well for a nice bonus. I really just don't trust this Eagles defense either, and I don't think that they have proven enough to show that they can win a big time game against a strong opponent like the Cowboys. I'm picking the Cowboys.
