Green Bay Packers vs Minnesota Vikings Odds, Prediction, and Pick
One of the more interesting week 7 NFL match-ups features two teams from the popular NFC North. The Green Bay Packers head on the road to take on the Minnesota Vikings, after a nice 24-3 home win against the St. Louis Rams. The Packers and Vikings are two teams who have been headed in opposite directions lately, as the Packers are currently sitting at 6-0 and are at the top of the NFC North; while the Vikings are currently 1-5 and are in the midst of a quarterback change. The Vikings lone win this season came against the Arizona Cardinals, who are in a similar boat as the Vikings, and are just looking for a way to get their team back over the hump.

The Packers have been on fire since the beginning of the 2010 NFL Playoffs, and have one of the best quarterbacks in the game in Aaron Rodgers, as well as a group of wide receivers that come in ranking near the top of the league. The Vikings on the other hand just haven't gotten the type of production from quarterback Donovan McNabb that they had hoped for when acquiring him. This all added up to change at the helm for Minnesota, who will now be switching to rookie Christian Ponder out of Florida State. This game will kick off at 4:15pm EST, will be played in Minnesota, and is an excellent sports betting option as well.

This one will draw a lot of interest from NFL fans thanks to the combo of Aaron Rodgers, and the first game for the rookie Christian Ponder. It'll be incredibly tough for Ponder though against this Packers pass rush, and I think that the Vikings home crowd will keep them in the game through the first half; but the second half will be a different story. I like Rodgers and his excellent wide outs to take over in the second half and pull out a nice win by a two touchdowns here.

It's very interesting that the undefeated Packers are only -9 against the struggling Vikings and their rookie quarterback. As much as many people would love to see the rookie Ponder come in and put the pressure on the Packers, I think the difference will come down to the Packers strong offense. I like Ponder to have a solid game, but Rodgers to get all over this Vikings defense that was just torched by Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears. I'm picking the Green Bay Packers to get the win and pull out the cover as well.
Pick: Green Bay Packers -9
