Indianapolis Colts vs Cincinnati Bengals Odds, Prediction, and Pick
When you take a look at the list of games for week 6 of the 2011 NFL season, one game that may not stick out to you right away is the Indianapolis Colts against the Cincinnati Bengals. The reason for this is that the Colts are currently sitting at 0-5, while the Bengals are currently 3-2, but were projected to be one of the teams to finish at the bottom of the NFL. The season has actually gone differently than the experts expected before the year though. The Colts were looking like a playoff team once again with Peyton Manning, but he had issues with his offseason surgery, and is now forced to miss most, if not all of the 2011 NFL season. The Bengals have a rookie quarterback, and a rookie top wide receiver, but still have been able to pull out three wins out of their first five games.

For the Bengals, it has been a combination of smart play by rookie Andy Dalton, great running by Cedric Benson, and very good all around play by wide out AJ Green. The Bengals knocked off the 4-1 Buffalo Bills two weeks ago, and then beat the Jaguars by 10 on the road last week. One of their biggest issues in weeks 2 and 3 was that their offense wasn't consistent enough; but they are now putting up points and are looking poised to keep up the strong all around play.
The Colts on the other hand have been interesting to this point. Sure, they are 0-5, but they have looked like a different team since quarterback Curtis Painter took over for Kerry Collins. Since Painter has been in the lineup, the Colts have lost by 3, 7, and 4, and I think they'll put up a good game against this Bengals team. The Colts might be 0-5, but they haven't quit on this season yet, and they're still playing hard.

For those fans of the NFL who aren't incredibly excited about this game, get excited about the sports betting aspect of it. This game should actually be a great game overall, and I think that the Colts will put up a major fight against the Bengals. Painter has played well so far for this team, and I like Joseph Addai and rookie Delone Carter running the ball for them. I think that the game is tight until late in the fourth, when the Bengals win it with a fourth quarter field goal.

This line being set at -7 for the Bengals just seems too high. The Bengals have had some tight games this year, and while I do think that they'll win the game outright; I'd be shocked if they are able to knock off the Colts by a touchdown. The Colts record doesn't tell the story of how they've played lately, and I think they can definitely keep this game within a touchdown. I'm picking the Indianapolis Colts to cover the +7 here.
