Indianapolis Colts vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Odds, Prediction, and Pick

We're jumping right into week 4's Monday Night Football match-up between the Indianapolis Colts and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This one should draw quite a bit of attention from both NFL fans and NFL sports bettors as well. While Monday Night Football always draws a ton of attention, this match-up will offer a good betting option for one side. The Colts are coming off of their best played game of the season, as they lost 23-20 at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Colts have been in a tough spot since they found out just before the season that Peyton Manning would be out for a minimum of 2-3 months. They started off the season 0-3 with some tough losses to the Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns in weeks one and two. The Buccaneers on the other hand have been up and down overall. They ended last season with a 10-6 record but just missed the playoffs, and lost a tough week 1 game to the Detroit Lions 27-20. After that though, the Bucs turned it around and have won 2 in a row with wins over the Minnesota Vikings, and the defending AFC South Champion Atlanta Falcons. Tampa Bay has looked solid, and is one of the best, young up and coming teams in the NFL this season.

This game has the makings of an interesting one, as the Colts were featured in last week's Sunday Night Football Match-up against the Pittsburgh Steelers. They were actually ten point underdogs in that game as well, and only lost by three in an impressive defensive performance. This game is a bit of a different situation though, as last week the Colts were at home in front of a very loud and excited crowd. This time, the excitement will be on the other side, and the Colts will be going into a hostile environment in Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers offense will make the difference in this one, but expect their defense to be all over either the young quarterback Curtis Painter, or the veteran Kerry Collins. I like the Buccaneers to win this one in a big way.

The fact that this game features the Colts as ten point underdogs once again, even after their three point loss to the Steelers is very interesting. The Buccaneers are definitely the better team, and with the home field advantage I think that they'll take this one in a walk. I like the three headed monster of Josh Freeman, Mike Williams, and LeGarrette Blount to put up some big numbers in this Monday Night match-up.

  • Pick: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -10
