NCAA Championship Game Betting: Kentucky Wildcats vs Kansas Jayhawks Pick, Prediction, and Odds
After one of the best NCAA Tournaments in my recent memory, we are finally down to the 2012 NCAA Championship game that features one team who has been considered one of the best throughout the entire year, and another team who many people doubted, but has made an unbelievable run through the tournament to make it to this point. The Kentucky Wildcats lost only two games all season, and have looked incredibly strong in the big dance on their way to this game, while the Kansas Jayhawks had their doubters, but have proven that just playing solid team basketball can really get the job done at the end of the day.

The Wildcats enter this game as a number one seed out of the South, while the Jayhawks are a number two seed out of the Midwest. To get to this game the Wildcats beat Western Kentucky, Iowa State, Indiana, and Baylor all by over 12 points a piece, and then went on to beat Louisville in the Final Four by eight. Kansas on the other hand started by beating Detroit, then knocked off Purdue, NC State, North Carolina, and Ohio State in their Final Four match-up.
Both teams are going to rely heavily on their big named players as the Jayhawks are led by All-American Thomas Robinson, as well as point guard Tyshawn Taylor who has played very well. Kentucky on the other hand will be led by their own All-American in Anthony Davis, who will be the consensus first round pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, as well as Terrence Jones, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Marquis Teague, and Doron Lamb. If you are looking for a Championship game with big names then you will get it in this match-up that has some serious NBA talent in it.
Tip off for the National Championship game will be at 9:23pm EST and the game will be played on Monday night, April 2nd in New Orleans.

It's tough not to love the NBA talent that is on the Kentucky Wildcats. On top of that though, this team just seems like they are poised and on a mission to get the job done this year for Coach John Calipari and the rest of the squad. I love the Wildcats roster and I love the drive that they are showing in this tournament. It's going to be an incredibly tough game for the Jayhawks, and while I do think that the Jayhawks can keep it close throughout, I'm going to ride the Wildcats to get the job done and be celebrating at the end of the day in a close win.
Prediction: Kentucky Wildcats- 75 Kansas Jayhawks- 72

I'm definitely not surprised to see this line at -6, mainly because no one has really been able to keep the games incredibly close with the Wildcats to this point. Louisville had their chances against Kentucky but couldn't keep it at less than eight. I do think that the Jayhawks are talented enough to keep this game closer than most, but I think that the Wildcats are too talented to be beaten. While I think that Kentucky will win the game, I'm going to take the Kansas Jayhawks to get the cover of the +6.
Pick: Kansas Jayhawks +6
