Los Angeles Clippers vs. San Antonio Spurs Odds, Prediction, and Pick
There are quite a few big games coming up over the next week or so in the NBA, but not many compare to the level of interest that the game between the Los Angeles Clippers and the San Antonio Spurs will draw. Both of these teams have gotten off to hot starts to kick off the 2012-2013 NBA season, as the Clippers are 6-2 overall through Thursday night, while the Spurs are 7-2. These two teams look like they could actually find themselves at the top of the Western Conference when the season comes to an end, and I fully expect both teams to be playoff teams and potentially make a run at the Western Conference Championship and possibly even to the NBA Finals as well.

The Clippers are once again led by their dynamic duo of Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, but they've gotten solid production from quite a few players. Deandre Jordan has made major strides this season, while Caron Butler and Jamal Crawford have both been big time as well. With the production that the bench and the role players have given the Clippers this year, they are looking like they could be a great team, and that they are absolutely headed in the right direction.
The Spurs are considered the "old reliable" of the NBA. Everyone seems to say that they are just too old and that they won't have the legs, but year in and year out they end up consistently at the top of the Western Conference. This year seems to be no different, as Tony Park and Tim Duncan are back to help lead this team back to another playoff run, and they have quite a few solid players to fill out their lineup as well. Don't sleep on the Spurs yet again, because if you do that could be a huge mistake.

The Spurs are a strong home team, but the Clippers have shown that they are no joke this year, and that they can get the job done on the road as well as on their home court. I think that this one is going to come down to the fourth quarter and will be a close one, but in the end that it'll be a combination of Chris Paul and Jamal Crawford who lead the Clippers to a big road win. You can't understate how good Crawford has been this season, and Paul is an excellent closer, so I'm going to roll with them to get the job done on Monday.
Prediction: Los Angeles Clippers- 102 San Antonio Spurs- 98
