Super Bowl Betting 2012: New York Giants vs New England Patriots Odds, Prediction and Pick

Finally we have finally made it to the 2012 NFL Super Bowl. We had some incredible ups and downs throughout the NFL season, and it actually even began before the NFL season kicked off. This was because of the NFL lockout that occurred and almost made it so that we nearly didn't have an NFL season. Fortunately for all of our NFL fans and NFL sports bettors out there, we not only had a full 17 game season, but we also had one heck of an exciting season as well. There were teams who we expected to have big years who simply failed to live up to expectations, and teams who weren't expected to do much of anything who pulled out some impressive seasons. Now we only have two teams remaining though, and they are two teams who entered this postseason with two different levels of expectation. For starters, the New York Giants had to win their final regular season game even to make it into the 2011-2012 NFL Playoffs. They did just that by beating the Dallas Cowboys in week 17. The New England Patriots were the favorites to make a deep run this year though, mainly because of the fact that they have Tom Brady running the show. No one could stop them in playoff time, and now they will meet that Giants team on February 5th for the Super Bowl.

Many people are split between their feelings on this game, mainly due to the Super Bowl back in 2008 when the New York Giants pulled off one of the most stunning upsets when they beat the Patriots, who were currently undefeated at that point. Some sports fans and sports bettors are incredibly excited to see the rematch of that great game, but other sports fans, mainly the ones who aren't fond of either the Giants nor the Patriots, are upset that they didn't get to see a team like the San Francisco 49ers or Baltimore Ravens pull off the upset to get into the big game. Regardless of your feelings on it, we have the Patriots against the Giants, and one of the most interesting betting match-ups for the Super Bowl in recent years.

The key for both teams is definitely going to be their passing games, as these two teams have possibly two of the best passing games in the NFL. The Giants are led by Eli Manning, and his receiving group made up of Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz, and Mario Manningham. All three are capable of making big plays at any point on the field, but they'll have an interesting opponent in the Pats. The Patriots have the incredible Tom Brady, and they also have Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski, and Aaron Hernandez. Both offenses will be tough to stop, so we'll have to keep our eyes on the secondaries for both teams as well. We know that the defensive lines can get the job done often, but watch both teams' cornerbacks and safeties on Super Bowl Sunday.

The Super Bowl will kick off on the 5th at 6:30pm EST on NBC. While there are a ton of sports betting options on the board for the Super Bowl, there is none bigger than the point spread bet, and we are going to take a look at it to give you an excellent sports betting pick for the Super Bowl.

What a game. Even if you aren't a fan of both of these teams, you can't deny the fact that this will not only be an excellent game all around, but that it will also be one of the most bet on Super Bowls in recent history as well. While we really think that either team is capable of winning this game, there is one team that stands out to me specifically in this game. I love the New England Patriots offense, and you can bet that Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and anyone else remaining from that game back in 2008 hasn't forgotten about that tough loss to the Giants. I think that the Patriots are going to play their best game of the entire season, and leave the Giants secondary scratching their heads quite a bit. While I love the Giants defensive line, I don't think they will be able to get to Brady enough to pull out the win in this game. I'm going to take the New England Patriots to win Super Bowl 46, and for Tom Brady to cement his place in history as the best quarterback in the history of football. I like them to take it down by a field goal in this game though, as it'll definitely be a close one.

I love the fact that this line moved from -3.5 to -2.5 for the Patriots. It would have been a tough call if the line was at -3.5, as I expect this game to be close, but I'm all over the Patriots at -2.5. This offense is going to give the Giants fits, and the Giants offense simply won't be able to keep up in my opinion. One thing that is for sure is that this game is going to be quite a bit of fun to watch, and that it's a great option for NFL bettors as well. I'm picking the New England Patriots to cover here.
