Miami Heat vs New York Knicks Game 5 Pick, Prediction, and Odds
The New York Knicks officially avoided being swept by the Miami Heat on Sunday afternoon with a performance that was honestly pretty inspiring. The team was prepared to be without Amare Stoudemire after he cut his hand wide open when he hit the glass around a fire extinguisher after a Game 2 loss. Stoudemire decided to play though and did so with his hand heavily wrapped, but he played an incredible game. The Knicks have ended their playoff losing streak with this win in Game 4, but if they want to actually have a shot in this series, they'll now need to win a crucial Game 5 IN Miami on Wednesday night, May 9th. If the Knicks can't get the job done, then they will be sent home and the Heat will be on to the second round.

This series was much anticipated entering the postseason, but it has failed to live up to the hype a bit after the Heat just jumped all over the Knicks in the first few games. New York showed on Sunday that they weren't finished just yet, but now they'll have to show that they aren't just satisfied with winning one single game. This game on Wednesday night should get a ton of attention from the NBA fans and sports bettors alike, and it has the makings to be a great one if all of the stars show up and put forth the types of games that we are expecting. The match-up that I'm most anticipating is of course the one between All-Star's Carmelo Anthony and Lebron James, because one player is going to make a huge stride on Wednesday.
Tip off for this game is set for 7:00pm EST, and the game will be televised on TNT.

If only the Knicks had done this one game earlier, they could have seriously put a scare on the Miami Heat. Instead the Heat get to go on their home floor and attempt to take care of business, which I think that they will do on Wednesday night. This team is just too talented, and now the Knicks are without not only Jeremy Lin, but Baron Davis as well at the point guard position after he was injured on Sunday. Expect a close game because I think that the Knicks are going to be all in and put up one heck of an effort, but that they are going to fall just short of the Heat in this one, and that the Heat and Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh are going to be moving one step closer to the NBA Finals. Heat by five.

It's tough to not imagine that the Heat are going to be favored by a good amount here. They looked dominant in both home games in this series, so I'm expecting the line to be at least six or seven. I think that the Heat get the job done, but that it'll be much closer than the first few games of the series. The Knicks will be better prepared (as they were last game), and will come out with much more intensity as well. Keep an eye on this line as it comes out, but if it is the Heat by more than five then I'll be all over New York to cover here.
