Oakland Raiders vs. Kansas City Chiefs Pick, Prediction, and Odds

In a game on Sunday that features two teams who are both in the midst of trying to figure out exactly who they are, the Oakland Raiders are heading on the road to take on the Kansas City Chiefs. What may be lost in the poor records of these two teams is the fact that this is a huge rivalry in the NFL. These two AFC West rivals go at it whenever they play each other. This year though, both teams are attempting to avoid falling out of contention this early in the season, as the Raiders are a lowly 2-4, and the Chiefs are the only team worse than them in the West with a 1-5 record. The offenses have been bad, the defenses have been bad, and overall these two teams are going to just need some help overall. This game will be played in Kansas City though, and I think it'll be a great betting option.

The Raiders need, absolutely need to get Darren McFadden rolling. This offense has struggled and it's safe to say that Carson Palmer isn't the player that they thought they traded for. Palmer has struggled with turnovers and the Raiders defense hasn't really been able to stop anyone. This week though they'll be against Brady Quinn and the Chiefs offense which has struggled almost as much as they have. The Raiders D is going to need to step up against this Chiefs team to get a key road win.

For the Chiefs, please get the ball to Jamaal Charles if you want a shot. Brady Quinn proved last week that he is simply not prepared to bet a starting NFL quarterback, yet he's starting again this week because everyone feels that there needs to be a chance. The Chiefs are going to have to rely on Charles, and the Raiders are likely going to key in on stopping Charles and the rushing game as well.

It's typically pretty tough to pick a winner in a game that is a complete pick with no line. This game is really a pick because the Chiefs are at home, and mainly because neither team has shown much. For me though, I'm going with the team who at least can air it out a little, and has Darren McFadden, who I'm expecting to light up this Chiefs defense all day. It's going to be an interesting game regardless though and I think that the Raiders will be able to pull out the win when all is said and done.
