Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Brooklyn Nets Odds, Prediction, and Pick
There have been some very good NBA games to this point in the young season, but one that immediately caught my eye for this coming week has to be when the Oklahoma City Thunder head on the road to take on the Brooklyn Nets and Deron Williams. The game will be played on Tuesday, December 4th, and is going to include some of the biggest names in the NBA going at it such as Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Deron Williams, Brook Lopez, and Joe Johnson, just to name a few. Both teams have had solid starts, as the Thunder are 12-4 through the 29th of November, and the Nets are 10-4. Through these 10 wins, the Nets have shown a nice bit of home court advantage as they are 7-1 in Brooklyn.

The Thunder have had to deal with a big change this season after trading away James Harden and putting Kevin Martin in as the new sixth man. Martin has done a solid job, but it's been more about the big three for the Thunder in Durant, Westbrook, and big man Serge Ibaka. Oklahoma City has quite a bit of talent, and while it took them a bit to figure out life after Harden, it seems that they've gotten things rolling yet again.
For the Nets, this team looks strong, even though they weren't able to get Dwight Howard this offseason in a trade. Big man Brook Lopez (who was going to be a big part of that trade), has had a very strong year, and is doing an excellent job of leading this team. Deron Williams is always a strong option, and the teams' addition of Joe Johnson is paying off as well. Just like with many teams in the NBA who have new players, it took the team a bit to gel, but now the Nets are looking like a contender.

This is going to be an excellent game, and is a match-up that many people are going to be hoping to see down the road (maybe in the NBA Finals?) Both teams still have a long way to go before thinking about that though, and with this game being in Brooklyn I do give the edge to the Nets. They've shown that they can play some tough competition and really show up, and I think that same thing will happen on Tuesday in Brooklyn. The Nets are going to be led by strong showings from Williams and Lopez to beat Kevin Durant and company by four.
Prediction: Brooklyn Nets- 96 Oklahoma City Thunder- 92
Pick: Brooklyn Nets
