Oklahoma City Thunder vs Houston Rockets Odds, Prediction, and Pick

Wednesday nights are big time for NBA basketball throughout the season, and this Wednesday, February 15th is no different at all. There is a huge number of games, but one game that stands out above the rest to me is the Oklahoma City Thunder against the Houston Rockets. The Thunder are heading on the road, but they'll have their work cut out for them against a Rockets team with a 15-11 overall record. Possibly the most impressive part about the Rockets this season is their home record, as they are 10-3 overall on their home court through Wednesday the 8th of February. So now they'll get a huge test against the Thunder who are 20-5 and have a full three game lead for the first seed in the West currently.

Through the 8th of the month, the Thunder have been strong through February, as they've won four of five games, with their only loss coming against the San Antonio Spurs on the road. While the Thunder were expected to be a big time team this season, not many people saw the Houston Rockets coming on this way this season, as this team is currently in a tie for 4th place in the Western Conference, and if they can keep this rolling then it could mean a shot at the playoffs for a talented Rockets team that is led by Kyle Lowry, Kevin Martin, and Luis Scola.

This game will kick off at 8:00pm EST on Wednesday, and will be one of the better games, and best betting options on the board for the night in the NBA.

While I touched above on the fact that the Rockets are 10-3 at home this season, the Thunder haven't been slouches on the road this year. Overall, they are 11-4 on the road (even though the team only has five total losses), and when you have talent like Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden it's hard not to like this team. I think that the Rockets crowd is going to be loud and ready to go for this game, but in the end I think that the one two punch of Durant and Westbrook is going to be the difference. I'll take the Thunder to pull out a close win by four on Wednesday.

Don't sleep on this Rockets team, especially if you can get a big line pointing towards the Thunder. All things point towards the fact that the Thunder should be small favorites on the road, but either way I'm liking this game to be a close one. I'll take the Thunder to win, but not in blowout fashion.
