Orlando Magic vs San Antonio Spurs Pick, Prediction, and Odds
The Orlando Magic and San Antonio Spurs find themselves jockey for position at the top of their respective conferences currently. These two teams will now meet on Wednesday, March 14th in a game that could prove that one of them is a serious contender come playoff time, and that the other still has some work to do before they are able to get to that level. Through the 8th of the month, the Magic find themselves with a 25-15 record, and are sitting in 3rd place in the Eastern Conference behind only the Chicago Bulls and the Miami Heat. The Spurs on the other hand are 26-12, and are behind only the first place Oklahoma City Thunder right now. Both of these teams want to keep pace and hold on to their top three seeds heading into playoff time, so a win on Wednesday would be huge for both sides. Tip off for this game is set for 8:30pm EST, and the game will be played in San Antonio.

The Spurs have been the perfect combination of strong veteran players and young up and coming players, while the Magic are a team who rely heavily on the dominance of Dwight Howard, but overall have been putting together strong games from many different angles. These two conflicting styles should make for a fun game with some interesting match-ups as well. First off, it'll be interesting to see who guards Dwight Howard on the defensive end for the Spurs, as it will definitely be a task. Another match-up worth watching is between All-Star point guard Tony Parker for the Spurs and Jameer Nelson of the Magic. Nelson has struggled a bit this season, so he'll have to step up his defense against the strong Parker.

Watch out for this Spurs team on their home court. They are 15-3 in San Antonio this year, and their fans have been incredible as well. I think that this is a huge advantage for the Spurs here, and that the Magic will be in a tough spot trying to go into San Antonio to get a big road win, especially with all of the rumors swirling about a potential trade of Dwight Howard! For me, I'll take the Spurs to get the win, and it'll be on the back of Tony Parker here. Parker has been playing incredible and I expect another big game for him against an over matched Jameer Nelson on Wednesday. One other player to watch here is rookie Kawhi Leonard for the Spurs, who has been very strong when given the opportunity at the small forward position this year.

This game could go either way in terms of who will be favored, but I'd expect the Spurs to be slight favorites on their home court. If I can get San Antonio at about -1 or -2, then I'll love getting my bet down on them here.
