Pittsburgh Steelers vs Baltimore Ravens Odds, Prediction, and Pick
The Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers have one of the best, and most interesting rivalries in all of sports. These two teams have posted some of the closest and most exciting games in past years, and they are set to open the 2011 season with the potential of another big time match-up. If you take a look at the match-up's between these two teams dating back to 2008, you'll see that they have never had a game that was decided by more than four points either way during the regular season (the Steelers won 23-14 in the 2008 playoffs). Last season, both of these teams finished at 12-4 and made it into the playoffs; and both of the games between the Steelers and Ravens were close, as the Ravens won 17-14 in Pittsburgh, and the Steelers won 13-10 in Baltimore. These two teams will return many familiar faces as they enter the 2011 NFL season, and the only real difference that you'll see out there is the addition of Lee Evans to the Baltimore Ravens on offense. Both of these teams could very well make it back into the playoffs again when the 2011 season comes to a close.

This game should be a very interesting week 1 NFL match-up, and should come down to the wire. While most people will feel that home field advantage will come into play in this type of game, that's not necessarily true with the Steelers and Ravens rivalry. These two teams know a thing or two about winning on the road against the other, and I think it will really come down to which team is more prepared for the season. While I think that both teams will have a great shot to make it back to the playoffs, I think that the Steelers kick the season off on the right foot against the Ravens. The Steelers offense is very well rounded, they have a great running game, and the best defense in the NFL. I see this one coming down to the wire, but the Steelers pulling it out late.

The point spread on this game has drawn a bit of attention from the sports betting world, mainly because of how close the games between these two teams have been in recent years. Most people really expect this game to be within a field goal or so, and while it will be a close game, I see the Steelers outdoing the Ravens late in the fourth. I'm picking the Pittsburgh Steelers to cover here.
