Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cincinnati Bengals Odds, Predictions, and Pick

Before the season, not many people would have imagined that a mid-season match-up between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals would be considered a "big time" match-up. Fortunately for all of us as fans and sports bettors though, this game has some hype around it, and is a game between two teams who are currently sitting at 6-2 (Bengals), and 6-3 (Steelers. Almost no one thought that the Bengals would win more than four games this season, and they've won six games at the mid point of the season. The Steelers are fresh off of a brutal loss at home to the Baltimore Ravens though, and are going to need to rebound against a divisional opponent in the Steelers. This game will kick off at 1:00pm on Sunday, and should have quite a few interesting story lines. It will also be an excellent betting option for all of the sports bettors out there.

The Bengals have been led by the strong play of rookie quarterback Andy Dalton, rookie wide out AJ Green, running back Cedric Benson, and all of the supporting cast of wide outs as well. Basically, what I'm getting at here is that the Bengals have played excellent all around, and this includes on the defensive side of the ball as well. The Steelers on the other hand look incredible one week (like in their win against the New England Patriots), and then just seem to look like a different team against the Baltimore Ravens. Can the Steelers get it back on track on the road against the surprising Bengals? Or will the Bengals continue to shock the world this season, and keep their push towards the 2011 NFL Playoffs going?

The Bengals are going to have their work cut out for them against the Steelers this week. I really think that the Steelers are going to come into this game fired up and ready to get redemption after last weeks' loss. I'd be shocked to see the Steelers not go on the road and get the win, but I think it'll be a good game all around. In the end though, I think that Roethlisberger and wide out Mike Wallace both step up big and lead Pittsburgh to a win by a touchdown.

If we were guessing the sports betting line on this game before the season, there is NO way that anyone would have guessed that it would only be the Steelers favored by 3. This just shows how far the Bengals have come, and how well their 2011 rookie's are doing as well. They've looked strong, and while I think that they are a team who is definitely up and coming, they won't be able to overcome the intensity of the Steelers after their Week 9 loss. I'm picking the Pittsburgh Steelers to not only win the game, but to get the cover of the -3 as well.
