Oakland Raiders vs. Denver Broncos Week 3 NFL Pick
For the second week in a row, Peyton Manning put on a show as he lead his Broncos to another route, this time at the expense of little brother Eli and the New York Giants. Peyton threw for 307 yards, 2 touchdowns, while completing 70% of his pass attempts. However, his supporting cast, most notably Knowshon Moreno, were at their best on Sunday afternoon.

Moreno ran for 93 impressive yards, while 8 different receivers caught a pass from Peyton. That brings Denver's points scored total to an even 90 on the season thus far, the most in the NFL. Oakland's Terrell Pryor, Darren McFadden and company have been rather surprising and impressive themselves. They took Indianapolis all the way to the wire in week 1 before eventually losing by 4 points, and they also took care of another basement-dwelling team in the form of the Jacksonville Jaguars in week 2 without much trouble.
Pryor is only going to get better with experience, and that is not to say he is off to a bad start. He hasn't exactly lit the world on fire with his arm, but rather his legs have been doing a lot of his damage. He has rushed for 162 yards so far this season (7.4 yards per carry) as opposed to 343 yards in the air, most of which came in that week 1 loss to the Colts. Darren McFadden responded from a mediocre week 1 to rush for 129 yards last week on just 19 carries.
My Pick - OVER 49 (-110) 5 Dimes
Plain and simple, I believe both the Broncos and Raiders have offenses that are very capable of putting up points (of course not at the same rate), and I am looking for a high-scoring affair on Monday night. The total has gone OVER in 5 of the last 7 meetings between these two teams, and also in 4 of their last 6 meetings in Denver. The total has also gone OVER in 5 of Denver's last 6 games overall, and 5 of Denver's last 6 games at home. Look for another explosive game from the Denver offense, with Oakland contributing some points as well to the push the total OVER.
