New Orleans Saints vs. New England Patriots Week 6 NFL Pick
Sunday afternoon's matchup between the Saints and Patriots pits two of the best Quarterbacks in the NFL against one another in what should be a thrilling game from Foxborough. Tom Brady might just be having one of the most frustrating years he has endured in his NFL career due to lack of chemistry (and talent) with his receivers. Brady fell just shy of the record for most consecutive games with a touchdown pass last week against the Bengals, a record that is held by... Drew Brees.

Brady was unable to find the endzone last Sunday, and in fact he wasn't even able to reach the 200 yard plateau, also a rarity. It's very difficult to win in this league by yourself, and that is basically what Brady has had to attempt this entire year. Stevan Ridley has been poor, Danny Amendola has been decent but he's playing injured, and the only receiver with over 18 catches this year is rookie Julian Edelman who may just be Brady's favourite and most reliable target (yikes).
In comparison, the Saints have 4 players with 23 or more receptions this season. Tight End Jimmy Graham (38 catches, 593 yards, 6 touchdowns), Pierre Thomas (28 catches, 166 yards, 2 touchdowns), Darren Sproles (26 catches, 308 yards, 1 touchdown) and Marques Colston (23 catches, 313 yards, 1 touchdown). Needless to say, the biggest difference this season between these two elite QB's is one has a wealth of reliable targets (and a solid running game), while the other has had to do the heavy lifting on his own with very little help from anyone else on the offensive side of the football.
My Pick - SAINTS +2.5 (-105) 5 Dimes
The Saints are 4-1 ATS this season, and the Pats are 2-3 ATS. The Pats are also 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games against the Saints, and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games against the Saints. Take the Saints this Sunday to win an important road game and remain perfect on the season.
