Seattle Seahawks vs Atlanta Falcons Playoff Preview, Prediction and Pick
This Sunday afternoon to kick off the NFL's second week of playoff action, the Seattle Seahawks are heading on the road to play against the top seed in the NFC in the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons are 0-3 in playoff games with Matt Ryan running the show, but this Falcons' team looks to be on another level offensively. Ryan has a ton of targets in Roddy White, Julio Jones, Tony Gonzalez, and even running back Jacquizz Rodgers. The Seahawks are coming off of a big come back win against the Washington Redskins in week one of the playoffs, and they have one heck of a rookie quarterback in Russell Wilson, who has excelled this year. Kickoff for this game is at 1:00pm EST.
The Seahawks have a great offense that features a combo of Wilson and running back Marshawn Lynch who has been absolutely great throughout the later parts of this season. The defense of Seattle has been possibly the most impressive part. Even though they looked iffy to start the game against the Redskins, I expect them to come back with a stronger start against the Falcons on Sunday. I also think that the Seahawks are going to look to let Russell Wilson use his legs as much as possible against the Atlanta defense.

The Falcons are an interesting story here, as many people are picking them to bet upset. They are only one point favorites in this one, but their offense has the potential to put up some big points in any week. They are going to rely on what has worked for them so well this season, and that is their passing game with Julio Jones, Roddy White, and Tony Gonzalez. Don't expect Matt Ryan to shy away from these Seattle cornerbacks.

I'd love to go with the Seahawks to continue their impressive run, but I love the home field advantage for the Falcons in this game. Even though many people aren't sold on Matt Ryan and the Falcons in the playoffs, I think that this Matt Ryan is coming into this game with a different mindset. With that being said, I think that the Falcons can out duel the Seahawks offense, and will get the best of them when all is said and done by a field goal.
Prediction: Atlanta Falcons- 27 Seattle Seahawks- 24
Pick: Atlanta Falcons -1
