Washington Redskins vs Buffalo Bills Odds, Prediction, and Pick
We kick off the Week 8 NFL betting with a match-up between two teams who started off the season very hot, but have cooled down just a bit. One team has cooled down much more than the other though, as the Washington Redskins have lost two games in a row and went from the top of the NFC East, to sitting in 3rd place behind the Cowboys and the Giants. Their opponents, the Bills, have been one of the most surprising and exciting teams in the NFL this season. No one really believed that this team was for real until they made a major comeback and knocked off the New England Patriots back in week 3. The Bills are currently sitting at 4-2 and are fresh off of their bye week, so they are feeling well rested and ready to get back to action. The Redskins on the other hand are 3-3 and had their bye two weeks ago.

Buffalo has been led by their incredible all around team play. If you had to point out one player, it would be Fred Jackson, who has 601 yards rushing, 6 rushing touchdowns, and 279 receiving yards as well. Jackson has been a game changer for the Bills and is probably one of the biggest reasons why the Bills enter this game as a favorite. The Redskins on the other hand have been tough to figure. Quarterback Rex Grossman looked good through the first two weeks, but he's now sitting as the back up quarterback behind John Beck. Their running game has been good, but it rotates between Tim Hightower, Ryan Torain, and Roy Helu.
This match-up between the Redskins and Bills will kick off at 4:05pm on Sunday.

Teams who are fresh off of their byes are some of the toughest teams to beat in the NFL. Pair that with the fact that the Bills are at home in this one, and the Redskins are struggling to find their identity currently; and it all adds up to a winner in my book. I like the way that the Bills have been playing on both offense and defense, and I think it will be more than enough to beat a Redskins team who is in the midst of a downwards spiral. I'm taking the Buffalo Bills to win it by more than ten.

There's not much to say about this one, except that we all pretty much expected the Redskins to be underdogs heading into this match-up. The line being set at 4.5 is a bit surprising, but many people seem to still be stuck on how the Redskins played through the first two weeks of the season. This just isn't the same team overall, and they seem to have lost a bit of their confidence as well. To make things even worse for the Redskins, they seem to have lost running back Tim Hightower to injury, and won't have wide out Santana Moss for at least this game either most likely. I'm picking the Buffalo Bills to win and get the cover here.
Pick: Buffalo Bills -4.5
