Washington Redskins vs New York Giants Odds, Prediction, and Pick
We all love an NFC East match-up, regardless of where the two teams are sitting in the division. The New York Giants are sitting atop the league now after a stunning come back win against their rivals the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football last week. They're are 7-6 overall, and this week they'll have their work cut out for them against a Washington Redskins team who is coming off of a tough loss against one of the best teams in the NFL in the New England Patriots. The Redskins may be only 4-9, but they've had some tight games, and their offense finally seems to be hitting on point right now. This game will be played in New York, which is good news for the Giants team who had lost four games in a row before beating the Cowboys last weekend. The Redskins actually started out the year 3-1, before they lost six games in a row and are now poised for a top pick in the upcoming draft.

The Giants will rely heavily on their quarterback, Eli Manning, who has played incredibly well as of late. The offense in general has played well, but the real issue has been the team's defense, who will need to get it together especially if they want to make a deep playoff run this year. Rex Grossman is hoping to put the Giants D to the test this weekend, and look for rookie running back Roy Helu to help make some noise as well. This game will kick off at 1:00pm EST and is one of my favorite betting options of the weekend here!

It's tough to imagine the New York Giants losing this game at home. They now hold the fate of their season in their hands, and if they win out they win the NFC East no matter what. While I do think that the Giants will get the job done in New York this weekend, I think it'll be much closer than many people believe. This Redskins team has looked solid since getting Grossman back at the helm, and also putting Roy Helu in at running back. I think that the Redskins will keep it close throughout, with the Giants pulling away early in the fourth and holding on by 4.

Many people may feel that the Giants should be favored by more than seven, and while that may be true, any NFC East game has a good chance to end up being a close one. I think that the best match-up to watch will be the running back's on both sides, as Helu has emerged as one of the better running back's in recent weeks, and the combination for the Giants of Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs is always a strong one-two punch. While I think the Giants are definitely the better team, there has been no quit in the Redskins this season. I'll be picking the Redskins here to get the cover.
